Part of our Gothic Literature collection, this black and silver enamel pin badge takes inspiration from The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, a Gothic novella written by Robert Louis Stevenson. 

The pin is in the shape of a potion bottle to represent the serum created by Dr Jekyll during his scientific research to develop a formula that will mask his dark side. Instead, the serum transforms Jekyll into Hyde; the physical and mental manifestation of his evil personality.

The enamel pin badge bears the quote:

'You must suffer me to go my own dark way.'

Lovely little gift

I bought several of these enamel pins and was really pleased with them. The quality of the pin itself is very high, it feels very sturdy and it's got a lovely shine to it. The backing card is well designed and is striking enough that you can keep the pin attached when giving it as a gift without any issues. Definitely a really nice little gift for any book lover.

I love this pin, it is so well made. A bit larger than I thought it would be, but that just makes the quote easier to read. Especially love the dark quote you've chosen. Proudly displayed on my backpack :)
